Welcome to the International Cosmetology Licensing Organisation
The International Cosmetology Licensing Organisation (ICLO) seeks to increase reciprocity and the mutual recognition of hairdressing, beauty and spa qualifications around the world.
Established in 2007 by Habia, the government appointed standard setting body for hairdressing, beauty and spa therapy in the UK, and the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC) in the USA, the ICLO was originally set up to agree an equivalency of qualifications between the UK and the USA in order to help hair and beauty professionals move between the two countries for work.
Now, the ICLO aims to seek approval from regulatory organisations worldwide for the recognition of and reciprocity between hairdressing, beauty and spa standards and qualifications. Representatives from other nations are invited to become members and participate in the strategic direction of the company.
